We all know the formation of our Christian lives is important and we should dedicate time to our life with God, but many of us are busy balancing family, work and life, leaving our faith left neglected.
Capacity Recharges are immersive, half-day spiritual development experiences focused on building our capacity to live and lead like Jesus.

Jesse Penna
Jesse was born in Denver, Colorado as a PK – preacher’s kid – as part of the Friends Church and has been attending and serving at a Friends Church ever since. Jesse graduated from Friends University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in music, in 2010 with a masters degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation, and completed the Apprentice Experience in 2016.
Jesse is currently the Director of Student Ministries for EFC-MAYM. He enjoys camping, hiking, playing trombone, listening to classical music, and most especially enjoys life with his wife Abby, two daughters, Evelyn and Sarah, and son Levi. He is also the proud steward of a Newfoundland, chickens, a 71 Ford Pick-Up, and an old farmhouse.
We invite Christians from around Wichita, Kansas to join a Recharge. Every half-day experience will include learning and engagement in spiritual disciplines. They will address a different theme including Rest, Experiencing God, Prayer, Play, Cultivating Vision, etc.

Who is the Recharge for?
For women and men of all denominations who seek Christlike change for the sake of others: lay leaders, pastors, small group leaders, volunteers, etc.
Can I bring my kids?
Unfortunately, Capacity is unable to accommodate children (as much as we love them!).
I see multiple dates when I try to register. What’s that about?
We have multiple Recharges scheduled in advance. The dates you’re seeing are for upcoming Recharges, so you can go ahead and register or mark them on your calendar! You can see the different themes for the series towards the top of this page.
What should I bring?
We will provide all materials, snacks, and coffee, but feel free to bring your bible!
